Necessary step to recover Cloud Server data: Create Snapshot
Snapshot can be understood as a backup of data for the server. So, if you want to restore Cloud Server data, you need to create a “backup” Snapshot first. There are 2 ways for you to do this:
Method 1: Create a Snapshot from the Snapshot menu in the main administration page of Cloud Server
Step 1: Go to the page manage.bizflycloud.vn and click on “Create Snapshot”.
Step 2: After the Snapshot creation interface appears, you will see there are 2 types of Snapshot creation:
– Create Snapshot from server
– Create Snapshot from hard drive
You choose one of the two styles above and click the “Create Snapshot” button.
After Snapshots are created, they will appear in the list below respectively under the “Server” or “Hard Drive” tabs.
Method 2: Create a quick Snapshot for Cloud Server from the “Hard Drive” tab.
Step 1: Go to the “Cloud Server” tab and continue to select the “Hard Drive” tab below.
Step 2: Click on the 3 dots as shown below and click “Create snapshot”.
With just a few simple steps as above, a Snapshot has been created for the hard drive. You can review the created Snapshots in the “Hard Drive” tab of the Snapshot menu.
Proceed to restore Cloud Server data from Snapshot
The steps below will help you restore Cloud Server data to the time you created the Snapshot (how to create a Snapshot was instructed above):
Step 1: Select the “Cloud Server” item on the menu and click the “Hard Drive” tab. You will see a list of hard drives below.
Step 2: Click on the three dots next to the hard drive to restore data and select “Restore”.
Step 3: Select the Snapshot that you want to restore the Cloud Server to when you created that Snapshot. Then, click “Restore” to start the process of restoring Cloud Server data.
Wait for the restore process to complete.
