DJI Mavic 3 Classic owns the main camera configuration, drone configuration and inherits DJI’s best drone technologies, unlike the Mavic 3, each does not have a telephoto camera, but the price is only from VND 34,990,000.
In fact, in addition to cutting down on the telephoto camera configuration, the Classic version also cuts more accessories on the Mavic 3 such as the ND filter kit, the “cheaper” version of the cover accessory, etc. First, let’s explore in the box. what?
Open the box
The version I borrowed is the one that comes with a DJI RC screen controller, priced at VND 38,990,000, with basic accessories and 1 battery. As usual, if you want an extra bag and charging dock and 2 extra batteries, you have to buy an additional flymore combo.
The combo will come with 2 spare wings, 2 joysticks of the handle, 1 65W charger, and a USB-A to C cord to charge the controller when used with a 65W charger.
Among the accessories, it will not be worth mentioning that the cover accessory is too troublesome and difficult to manipulate.
The first dislike is that it’s pressed plastic, connected by loose leatherette straps, and doesn’t have a smart magnet buckle, but just a snap button, which is locked by the tension of the elastic.
The buckle is quite loose, difficult to operate.
Knowing that in order to have a good price, it is necessary to cut down on secondary accessories, but the quality of this mask is poor in my opinion.
If there is one piece of advice, I definitely recommend that you buy the version with the DJI RC controller, not the DJI RC-N1 screenless controller. Because the DJI RC has a bright and beautiful screen, especially making the connection faster and neater, the disadvantages of copying files and connecting to the current phone have been updated better.
Configuration
The Classic version will have the same configuration as the Mavic 3, inheriting all the best, let’s take a look at the notable parameters:
- Capable of recording up to 5.1K 50fps 10bit color, with D-log and HLG, 4K60 recording with oversampling from 5.1K for better quality. Dynamic Range is at 12.8 stops.
- Slow motion at 4K 120fps, 1080p at up to 200fps.
- Capable of shooting 20MP RAW 12bit.
- The configuration of the drone is similar to the Mavic 3, flying up to ~72.5kmph, weighing 895 grams.
- Possessing all the cool technologies such as Quickshots, MasterShots, APSH, advanced RTH, 360-degree camera system…

The notable difference between the regular Mavic 3 and the Classic version is that there is no 7X telephoto camera. In my opinion, it is completely reasonable, and if I had to risk this telephoto camera and the price was nearly 10 million more expensive, in my opinion, I would choose Classic.
The rest of the camera quality comes from camera manufacturer Hasselblad – a Swedish company acquired by DJI many years ago. The Hassie family is known for their large sensor cameras and technologies that make their camera images realistic and true to color, and those imaging technologies also appear on the DJI Mavic 3 Classic.

The flight time according to the manufacturer’s announcement is 46 minutes, the actual experience is more than 35 minutes, sometimes it is nearly 40 minutes, if the flight is heavy, it must be more than 30 minutes. Extremely strong battery life makes you feel more secure, meeting more needs, such as taking timelapse, making hyperlapse videos – features are available on the device.
The Classic version will also have the same O3+ wave standard as the Mavic 3, for a long transmission distance of 15km, especially on the network there are many cases of traveling farther than 25km, but for me, the farther the wave, the stronger the signal, and the test. How far away, I usually do not test this ability.
Conclude
DJI Mavic 3 Classic can be seen as a very good price version compared to the DJI Mavic 3, DJI seems to be competing with itself, a machine with equally good configuration as the resale price is extremely good. I will have a detailed experience of the classic version, about the image quality, about the experience when the lack of telephoto camera, and whether the accessories are cut will make the Classic version weaker…
